my love italy: You know you're Italian when... ➙
You know you’re Italian when…
- You live/have lived somewhere in the tri-state area
- You’re Roman Catholic
- You never buy Ricotta, you make it
- Pasta Carbonara is one of your many favorites
- You’re a Mammas boy, and proud
- Your Mammas sauce is so good, you eat it like tomato soup
- You never…
ACCORDING TO THIS I’M NOT ITALIAN XD
Maybe I was born and I grew up in a city next Slovenia and Austria BUT I can tell you that is not accurate. NOT AT ALL!
- yes many italians are catholic ‘cause is a tradition but a lot don’t practice! this is a complex topic in our contry ‘cause catholic churc is part of our history, if we have to talk about that we must talk about history, social and politics issue…it’s hard to understand!
- A lot of us went to Vatican City but most ‘cause we love to visit Rome. It’s an amazing city, gosh there is so much beauty in Rome that you can’t image. Everyone needs to see Rome once in a lifetime. So much beauty. Vatican is just a part of that: Piazza San Pietro is pretty amazing and Vatican Museum has a lot of thing you need to watch! It’s not just about religion. I spent a lot of time in Vatican Museum (I went 2 times) but fot art!
- a lot of us - like me - are not able to make ricotta at home
- sometimes I skip sunday dinner (I don’t get the point to this)
- DJ tiesto I DON’T KNOW WHAT IT IS!
- I hate Lentils. but it is true…they’re always be XD
- Arancini is a Sicily thing not all italy. every region have something special to eat. It’s tradional cousine. And it taste good everywhere. Screw you other people nothing is like italian food XD we really are a mess with everything but with food there’s no one like us. Deal with it! XD
- my skin is totally pale. I’m blonde. A lot of us are blonde XD REALLY!
- Gosh my middlename is not any of theme. I don’t have a middlename actually!
- yep I’m really proud of Nutella.
- we use to tell “pronto” on the phone. before entering in your home people say PERMESSO
- handmade pizza pazza etc etc ..yep we can do it, but most of time we buy it XD
- I don’ have a limoncello bottle in my fridge! In my region wine is more common ;)
- we’re not jersey shore people, that’s true XD
And there is a lot more. This is a stereotypes list.

I agree with Stefania. You’re not Italian, you’re Italian-American and there are differences, big ones. P.S. I’m blonde...
